Hyderabad: Social activist Khalida Parveen has lodged a complaint with the police against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging inappropriate and insulting conduct during a public event. According to the complaint, the incident took place on stage during the distribution of appointment letters, when the Chief Minister allegedly pulled down the niqab of Ayush doctor Nusrat Parveen while handing over a job offer letter. Khalida Parveen stated that the act amounts to an insult to the dignity of a woman and constitutes a serious offence. She said she has formally requested the Station House Officer (SHO) to register an FIR under Sections 74, 79, 299 and 302 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and to initiate appropriate legal action. The complainant demanded a fair and impartial investigation into the incident and strict action against those responsible, stating that such acts are unacceptable and violate a woman’s right to dignity and personal freedom.
