आज चंดิगढ़ के ਉਦਯੋਗ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਚ ब्रिटिश डिप्टी हाई कमीशनਰ Ms. Alba Smeriglio ਅਤੇ बहੁਕੋਮੀ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੂਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਹੋਈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਕੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਤਕਨੀਕ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ 2026 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। Today, at Udyog Bhawan, Chandigarh, I held a meeting with the British Deputy High Commissioner to India, Ms. Alba Smeriglio, along with representatives of leading multinational companies. In-depth discussions were held on enhancing investment opportunities in Punjab. The delegation was invited to explore collaborative opportunities across key sectors including education, technology, agriculture, and allied fields. The government’s newly launched initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s industrial and investment ecosystem were also highlighted. Additionally, I also formally invited them to participate in the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit scheduled for 2026.
